In the next installment of the Altus Group Tysons Virginia office, is joined by Gary Block, a Partner and Managing Director at The Meridian Group, a locally based real estate development firm. Both executives discuss how “The Boro” development will play a critical role in transforming the Tysons region.

 

In another step towards transforming the Tysons region into being “America’s Next Great City,” the coveted development known as “The Boro” will include 18 acres for a mixed-use town center complex to make the area more livable and walkable.

The first phase of “The Boro” will have 250,000 square feet for retail, 750 residential units and 400,000 square feet for office space. Bounded by Leesburg Pike, Greensboro Drive and Solutions Drive, the campus is located almost entirely within a quarter mile of the Greensboro Metro station.

“The Boro” development reinforces the vision of the Tysons Corner Comprehensive Plan Amendment, which aims to transform the region into a walkable, green urban center that will be home to 100,000 residents and 200,000 jobs.
