About this project
This project was for the Nova Centre in Halifax, a mixed-use development which included the Halifax Convention Centre, retail stores, a parking garage, a hotel shell and two financial tower shells. It included two levels of convention space covering 200,000 square feet, for banquet and meeting facilities, and a 10,000 square foot kitchen. The first three levels contained 66,000 square feet of retail space for restaurants, banks and clothing stores. Designed to reflect the seafaring history of Halifax, the tower was built to resemble the rising sail of a ship arriving in the Halifax harbour.
