About this project

The New Toronto Courthouse will accommodate 67 new judicial hearing rooms (including multiple accused and high security courtrooms as well as conference and settlement rooms), as well as associated program spaces such as judicial chambers and support, Crown attorneys, Police Court Bureau, prisoner handling, Court Services Division, Victim / Witness Assistance Program, Counsel Services, public services, building services and judicial/program parking. The 780,000 square foot facility will achieve LEED Silver Certification. The project will amalgamate six OCJ criminal courthouse locations into one. The project will be delivered as a Design, Build, Finance and Maintain P3 Contract
