About this project

This project involved the design and construction of a new 600-student K-4 school (Kenneth D. Taylor Elementary School) in the Calgary neighbourhood of Evanston. Delivered under a Design-Bid-Build contract, the LEED silver project needed to accommodate the current and future enrollment demands of a growing community.

Of 27 school projects that CBE had to deliver in a 3-year period, Evanston was 1 of only 2 schools that was delivered on time and within budget – all of this, despite facing the challenge of redesigning the stormwater drainage system while construction was underway.
