About this project

The Provincial Government of Nova Scotia was in the process of acquiring lands for the twinning and re-alignment of Highway 104 from Sutherlands River to Antigonish. The twinning will cover a 38 km stretch of highway between Sutherlands River and Addington Forks. It will run alongside the existing highway route from Sutherlands River to Barneys River. From Barneys River eastwards the highway will be realigned to the south of the existing route for approximately 10 km before connecting to the existing highway route again at Glen Bard.

To assist in the acquisition process, the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (TIR) required an independent estimate of compensation payable for the properties to be acquired. The intended use of the reports was for acquisition purposes and potentially expropriation purposes.
