About this project

Curtin University collaborated with Cisco Systems Inc. to host the WA hub of the Cisco Internet of Everything Innovation Centre  (CIIC). The project involved the refurbishment and upgrade of an existing 226 square metre space at Curtin University’s Building 216 to create an industry and research collaboration facility and data centre that can also be used as an office for the Square Kilometre Array – a significant radio telescope project.

The project was completed on budget and with minimal defects. A seamless handover was undertaken. Since opening, the building has been well received by the public. The internal fit out has created a space that represents innovation and flexibility. With over 80 researchers and a global industry network, the Cisco Internet of Everything facility stands at the forefront of technology and economic growth.
