Altus Group was engaged by Mirvac to provide Independent Quantity Surveying (IQS) services for the preparation of a baseline cost plan and IQS services during the international design excellence competition for the proposed 50 storey commercial tower with a three-level basement. The $250 million+ project is a design partnership between Woods Bagot and SHoP Architects. The development, which could reach up to 232 metres in height, would involve the demolition of a nine-storey mid-century commercial office building and significant upgrades of the Ausgrid and Telstra utility buildings.
The project will create a sustainable, premium-grade workplace with an abundance of natural light and iconic views of Sydney Harbour, along with amenities that promote health and wellbeing. The design boasts a seamless integration into the urban landscape at ground level, enhanced by striking water features and indigenous narratives in the lobby and entry hall. The development will help to revitalise the Circular Quay precinct.
