Challenge

The International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney project is a Public Private Partnership between the NSW Government and the private sector. ICC comprises state-of-the-art exhibition, entertainment and convention space, as well as the improvement of public spaces, pedestrian walkways and general urban renewal works. Altus was commissioned to provide Quantity Surveying services, Technical Advisory Reviews and Asset Management services, and was part of the team that reviewed and analysed the proposed proponent scheme design costs.

Results

Completed in December 2016, the revitalisation of the Darling Harbour precinct will reinforce Sydney’s status as a global city. Locals and tourists will benefit from increased park land and improved pedestrian connections around Darling Harbour, Pyrmont and Ultimo. The project will also generate significant economic benefits during the next 25 years. Through its involvement with the landmark project, Altus has reinforced its grasp of PPP project deliverables, procedures and nuances.
