Challenge

This project involved the demolition of two single storey and one two storey residential building to construct a nine storey tower containing 57 apartment dwellings. The apartments have approximately 372 square metres of retail space on the ground level and 596 square metres of commercial space on level 1, including a three level basement car park. Temporary steel struts and 750mm piles were required for the elevations fronting the railway corridor as part of the Railcorp requirement to mitigate substructure movement within the corridor during basement excavation.

Solution

In September 2015 Altus Group was engaged by the Financier to provide bank monitoring services throughout the construction phase of the project.

The Centric Apartments were completed in 2017.
